How to recover a corrupted WAV file
If you work with a field recorder like the ZOOM H4 (or any other audio recording device) and accidentally pull out the power plug or open the battery compartment (or do any other nonsense) while recording (or while the "please wait" screen after recording like I did), your WAV file will get corrupted. Yes, that's SH*T!! Everything lost? NO!
Get Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/), open a new project and select Import > RAW Data...
Then select the corrupted file and set the import settings (encoding, channels, sample rate) according to the settings that you used before (you should know them).
Now click on Import and be happy again!
